Hi there!  I'm Duke, Duke of Earl!!!  My foster mom has an odd sense of humor!!   Anyways, these kids in the apartment were throwing rocks and stones and broken glass at me. I tried hiding in a bush. A nice lady walked by twice and the second time she brought a carrier and picked me up out of the bush.  In the meantime she fussed at the mean kids about hurting and abusing animals.  Then I ended up with her friend who is a rescuer.   

At first I was not very trusting with her and her husband. I'd walk around growling and crying.  Then I decided one day to lay next to the nice man.  And he wasn't mean to me!!!  My foster mom would pet me and talk to me in such a way that I felt safe.  It's taken awhile but each day is better!!!!
